We look forward to welcoming invitees from The Garden Club of America and fellow Zone IV Garden Clubs to our historic and beautiful venues on May 20-21, 2025. The Beacon Hill Club, was originally built as a residence for Margaret K. Bassett, a founding member and first President of The Summit Garden Club and Reeves-Reed Arboretum gardens and Wisner House, a former home of Susie G. Reeves, also a past President.
The Summit Garden Club has called Reeves-Reed Arboretum home since its founding 50 years ago. We tend the Herb Garden, sponsor seasonal gardeners in support of the horticultural staff, host the St. Michael’s School in Newark, NJ to spend a spring and fall day learning at RRA through their Hands to Nature program, and provide support for various projects when needed. The GCA Montine McDaniel Freeman Medal Collection is held at RRA. We look forward to exploring the gardens with you.
Please enjoy a glimpse into our two host properties. More details on our meeting program and flower show can be found by clicking here.
